On the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8th), Amplifon releases a video-infographic and comic illustration offering an amusing view on gender differences in hearing.

Gender differences should be respected and … heard. In fact, women have better hearing than men: scientific studies put in evidence the fact that men’s hearing declines twice faster than women’s and that women generally have a higher hearing threshold at voiced speech frequencies (around 1,000 Hertz) up to the age of 50. Some experts claim that ladies’ better hearing could explain why they have different listening and learning skills and are experts in the “art of chatting”. On the occasion of International Women’s Day (March 8 th) Amplifon releases a video-infographic and comic illustration offering an amusing view on gender differences in hearing to enhance awareness on women’s “peculiar hearing”, suggesting the need for personalised hearing solutions.
