Milan, March 18, 2025Amplifon Italy, a company of the world's leading group in hearing care services and solutions, has kicked off the fourth edition of “A Degree with Amplifon,” the initiative reserved for fifth-year high school students interested in enrolling in the three-year degree in Audioprosthetic Techniques. This degree allows students to become hearing care professionals, the specialized figure responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing loss, a central figure in Amplifon's service model.

In detail, the company is awarding five scholarships, including a monthly contribution of 500 euros and payment of university fees for the duration of the degree. There will also be an end-of-degree internship within one of Amplifon's more than 800 audiology centers in Italy and a job placement in the company at the end of the studies. Students can apply for “A Degree with Amplifon” by filling out the form on the project’s website before June 30th (https://careers.amplifon.com/Una_Laurea_Con_Amplifon).

The initiative will be presented in several Italian cities as part of a roadshow for high schools in Bari, Catania, Padua, Treviso, Messina, Parma, Verona, Pisa, and Siena. The degree program in Audioprosthetic Techniques is currently available at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 14 Italian universities in Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, and Palermo.

Hearing care professionals are concerned with hearing prevention and care, checking people's hearing health, performing the necessary tests and choosing the most appropriate hearing solution in the case of hearing loss. They are professionals who combine technical skills with a strong interpersonal component. To become a hearing care professional requires a university degree, which is obtained through three years of study and an internship. After acquiring the degree, it takes, on average, only a couple of months before recent graduates are able to enter the workforce.

Among health professions, the hearing care professional is relatively unknown but has a growing demand not only in Italy but globally, given the increasing adoption rates of hearing devices and demographic trends related to an aging population.
