Amplifon, the global leader in hearing solutions and services, has adopted the EcoVadis platform to assess and support the continuous improvement of its suppliers' environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. The initiative is consistent with the company's sustainable procurement strategy and is in line with the targets of the Sustainability Plan, in particular, the ESG supplier assessment and decarbonization targets (Science Based Targets). The plan, announced in March 2024, specifically calls for achieving an ESG assessment of 100% of direct suppliers and 50% of indirect suppliers per spend by 2026.

Through EcoVadis, Amplifon will deepen its suppliers' ESG practices, identifying areas for improvement and promoting concrete actions to reduce environmental and social impacts. The platform will be used to identify sustainability "best performers" with whom to collaborate, and to support small and medium-sized companies on their path to improvement.

Amplifon will assess the most strategic and relevant suppliers to its business globally in all geographies in which it operates. Assessments will not be limited to hearing aid suppliers. Still, they will extend to all major players in the company's value chain, including 'core' goods and services such as marketing, IT, retail, logistics and construction.

The adoption of EcoVadis demonstrates the company's strong commitment to sustainable procurement practices. It underscores the leadership role that Amplifon intends to assume in the hearing care industry's supply chain, focusing on engaging its suppliers.
